Perfect Pitch
Get Pitched Slap!
This adult/glee/musical movie stars Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and newcomer Rebel Wilson! Side note: Rebel Wilson has officially become one of my favourite female comedian eversince her roles in "Bridesmaids" and "What to Expect When You're Expecting", she is hilarious in this trailer. In Theaters October 5 2012.
Here is the official synopsis:
Beca (Anna Kendrick) is that girl who’d rather listen to
what’s coming out of her headphones than what’s coming out of you. Arriving at her new college, she finds
herself not right for any clique but somehow is muscled into one that she never
would have picked on her own: alongside mean girls, sweet girls and weird girls
whose only thing in common is how good they sound when they sing together, in
the new out-loud comedy Pitch Perfect.
When Beca takes this acoustic singing group out of their
world of traditional arrangements and perfect harmonies into all-new mash-ups,
they fight to climb their way to the top of the cutthroat world of college a
cappella. This could wind up either the
coolest thing they’ll ever do or the most insane, and it will probably be a
little of both.
Loaded with new takes on old favorites to hits of right now
that are seamlessly mixed together, mashed-up and arranged like you’ve never
heard before, Pitch Perfect is directed by Jason Moore, who opened our eyes to
the very misbehaved life of puppets in the surprise Broadway sensation Avenue
Q.
This movie seems hilarious and Anna Kendrick has been acing all her movie roles, ever since her 2009 Oscar-nominated role in "Up in the Air".
Farewell, My Queen
Let Them Eat Cake
Another french period drama, starring the beautiful Diane Kruger and Lea Seydoux, both ladies were featured in Quentin Tarantino's 2009 "Inglourious Basterds". Seydoux and Kruger are both captivating in the trailer and I just love french actresses. Seydoux was so adorable in "Midnight in Paris" and quite the villain in "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol". I'm excited to see her play meatier roles as opposed to supportive ones. This movie is in Theaters July 13 2012.
Here is the official sypnosis:
FAREWELL, MY QUEEN marks the return of acclaimed director
Benoit Jacquot (A Single Girl, Seventh Heaven, Sade, Deep in the Woods,) and
brilliantly captures the passions, debauchery, occasional glimpses of nobility
and ultimately the chaos that engulfed the court of Marie Antoinette in the final
days before the full-scale outbreak of the Revolution. Based on the
best-selling novel by Chantal Thomas, the film stars Lea Seydoux as one of
Marie's ladies-in-waiting, seemingly an innocent but quietly working her way
into her mistress's special favors, until history tosses her fate onto a
decidedly different path. With the action moving effortlessly from the gilded
drawing rooms of the nobles to the back quarters of those who serve them, this
is a period film at once accurate and sumptuous in its visual details and
modern in its emotions. Diane Kruger's gives her best performance to date as
the ill-fated Queen and Virginie Ledoyen is the Queen's special friend
Gabrielle de Polignac.
Enjoy!
