Sick in Bed

chicken noodle soup indeed!
Society6.com
As my title so obviously points out, I'm coughing and sneezing in bed, and I hate it! I don't know about you, but I'll get sick from the slightest change in the weather (i.e right now!) or allergies. My best friends during this horrible time, are "Campbell's chicken noodle soup" and my "Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks DVD collection".  They get me through everything. When I'm sick, I get sappy and movies that have any "sick in bed" scenes, just get me!

Here are my Top 5 "Sick in Bed" Movies:

1) You've Got Mail (1998)

This movie starred Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Remake of the film "Shop Around the Corner" (1940) , and it's one of the best enemies turned lovers film that I'll ever watch. It always makes me feel much better, and I wished I had a dog to walk around the parks of Manhattan during the fall.

2) Forrest Gump (1994)

Tom Hanks won an Oscar for his role as Forrest Gump, and there's no doubt in anyone's mind why he shouldn't have won it! This is one of my favourite movie of all time! The amazing journey that Forrest takes in the movie really inspires me, it makes me think that being sick in bed is nothing compared to his hardships. I love Forrest Gump!

3) Pride and Prejudice (2005)

This starred Keira Knightley and Matthew MacFadyen. Anything with Jane Austen and Keira Knightley has my vote! Mr.Darcy was the man of my dreams back in 2005. I take comfort in the fact that any heroine in Jane Austen's book will have her happy ending.

4) About a Boy (2002)

This movie stars Hugh Grant, Toni Colette, Rachel Weisz and Nicholas Hoult. This dysfunctional man becomes part of an even bigger dysfunctional family, and somehow it works. I love the dynamic between Hoult's character and Grant's. It makes me wish I had an older sibling who'd fetch things for me, well, younger siblings do that too, so I'll take either.

5) Bridget Jones's Diary (2001)

This movie stars Renee Zellweger, Hugh Grant and dashing Colin Firth. The love triangle between the three is dynamic and Bridget's crappy and embarrassing moments, makes me feel even better! My self esteem goes up, after watching this movie! I'm thankful that I'm stuck in bed with a cough, not with a douchebag.

Cheers and Get Well!
